On 3 December 2019, FECS participated in the European Bathroom Forum (EBF) meeting which took place in Roca Gallery, Barcelona. A voluntary and flexible scheme to measure the water and energy consumption of bathroom products, the Unified Water Label (UWL) brings together four certification schemes to help consumers decide on the most water and energy efficient product. The European Commission Eco-Design Consultation Forum, announced on 18 December 2019, has been confirmed and will be a key step towards a voluntary agreement for taps and showers, as promoted by the industry. The next meeting of the EBF will take place in February 2020 in Brussels.
